Pack iron pale ale
A Great summer pale ale
IBU: 86 | ABV: 5.7%
Brewer Notes:
An American Pale Ale with a well rounded hop finish, brewed to be a refreshing and easy-drinking beer. American Pale Ales (APA’s) typically have a moderate to strong hop aroma that can range from grapefruit to pine and are accentuated even more by APA’s moderate to high carbonation.
This beer is also a staple in our lineup and can be found year round in the brewery and at your local Colorado liquor store!
Pairs Well With:
-
Shishito Peppers
-
El Loco Burger
-
Ahi Poke Tacos
Pack Iron Pale Ale pairs so well with a wide array of foods, making it a great style to try with everything on our menu. The citrus notes in the beer make it a natural choice for heavy or spicy dishes; the hops temper the spiciness while accentuating the lime and citrus flavors.
History:
Pale ales are light to medium bodied, generally clear, and light yellow to light copper in color. APA’s moderate bitterness is balanced by the malt although the malt flavor won’t be as pronounced as in English pale ales. The most commonly used yeasts in APA’s produce little or no fruity esters. These beers are generally crystal clear unless hops are added during the bottling process. This hopping technique is called dry hopping and can cause a slight haze in the beer and it will increase the hop aroma but not the overall bitterness of the beer.
